Marvel Antenna Ballz Production Blister Card-Back Unused May 2000 Marvel Comics NOSS

$19.95

Fact: The car depicted on on card-back was a officially licensed Tony Stark car. We were given options for card to use and decided this fit best with our pordicruion and prosduct from that time.

These were fully licensed products from Marvel Comics and we, as Pee Wee Comics, secured the rights to produced the antenna ballz line for a very short time.  The card-back was designed by Josephine Pira our late mother but she never saw the finished production piece.

While the ballz were produced for a short time and made entry into the mainstream marketplace they were ordered and distributed in very small quantities. Our clients included Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Florida, Gadzooks, Hot Topic, Do It Center and Diamond Comics for comic specialty shops.

These were officially licensed antenna ballz and were the precursor to the Carl’s Jr plastic version Spider-Man ball. These ballz were made during the bankruptcy era of Marvel Comics. When Marvel became solvent again, the licensing fees increased dramatically and production was then shut down.
PWC Designs brings you Marvel Comics Officially licensed Antenna Ballz sell sheet. The sell sheet measures approx 8 1/2″ x 11″, double sided, full color on front. This was an officially licensed Marvel Comics property. These ballz were first produced by us as PWC Designs in 1998, long before any other Marvel antenna ball was produced for the mass market. We pre-dated the Carl’s JrHardee’s Spider-Man Antenna Ballz. We were the manufacturers of these collectibles and declined to renew our Marvel license years ago. The cost for the license exceeded the value of the ballz. These ballz had very limited release with most being sold through Hot Topic outlets, Gadzooks, Universal Studios Gift stores in Hollywood CA and Marvel Comics/Universal Studios Florida. You will not find these antenna ballz anywhere else. A very cool collectible that would great on your car or displayed on the shelf. The sheets were sent to retailers for promotion and sales building.
