Spider-Man Universal Studios Protoype Antenna Ballz MOC 1998 PWC Designs

This is a 1998 Spider-Man Universal Studios Protoype Antenna Ball #11207 Spider-Man Universal Studios Prototype antenna ballz, produced by PWC Designs. This was a fully licensed Spider-man ballz. Universal sold many of our standard Spidey ballz through their theme parks. This variation was offered this variation for consideration. The front of the ball was kept exactly the same the regular issued Spidy Ballz but was stripped of the webs on the back and the Universal Logo was added.

Unfortunately Universal did not warm up to the idea and so the ballz were never produced. Less than 30 prototype ballz were produced with this variation. The ballz come blister carded but all have different production flaws such as paint tranfser, paint rubs/flakes, missing paint etc… This was an officially licensed product and we were only able to obtain the rights as Marvel was filing bankruptcy at the time. Once Marvel became solvent, the license became too expensive to keep, so these ballz were only made for a very short time. This ball had a very limited release and is highly collectible, due in fact that many will open the card back and place the ball on a car. The ball is mint and sealed on the card. there is some indenting of the bubble due to the fragile nature of the packaging, and there may be slight variations of the card back from the picture, IE slight off center of the bubble etc…
